Le bar douillet et planqué de la place Clichy

La première chose que l’on se dit en se baladant du côté de la place de Clichy, ce n'est certainement pas : « Oh chouette, une terrasse calme ou je pourrai bouquiner en toute tranquillité ! » Mais quand on emprunte le petit passage de la rue Biot, qu'on passe entre les portes cochères grand ouvertes du numéro 9, un petit coin de paradis s'offre à nous, loin de l'agitation de la place. 

Les grandes baies du bar s'ouvrent sur une jolie cour avec sa fontaine. A l'intérieur une ambiance cosy, des fauteuils en osier et des plantes vertes. Voilà un charmant jardin d'hiver en plein cœur de Paris. On commande un Violetta (gin, liqueur Saint-Germain, citron, sirop de violette) aux saveurs enfantines et un Espresso Martini (rhum, Cointreau, espresso, sucre de canne) équilibré et fort de café.

Côté amuse-bouches, tout met justement l'eau à la bouche, on opte donc pour un plateau dégustation généreux et sans fausse note (houmous de lentilles corail et curry, betterave déclinée, potimarrons rôti au pesto, club saumon concombre et coriandre, cigare d'agneau confit et mini-burger de pulled pork, 18 €). On quitte l'Arrière Cour à regret pour se rebalancer dans la foule... Heureusement, on connaît désormais un joli petit havre de paix.

The cozy and hidden bar of the Place Clichy. The first thing we say while strolling around the Place de Clichy, it is certainly not: "Oh nice, a quiet terrace where I can read in peace! But when you take the small passage of Biot Street, which passes between the wide open doors of number 9, a little corner of paradise is offered to us, away from the bustle of the place.

The large bays of the bar open onto a pretty courtyard with its fountain. Inside a cozy atmosphere, wicker chairs and green plants. Here is a charming winter garden in the heart of Paris. We order a Violetta (gin, Saint-Germain liqueur, lemon, violet syrup) with childish flavors and a balanced Espresso Martini (rum, Cointreau, espresso, cane sugar) and strong coffee.

As for appetizers, everything is just mouth-watering, so we opt for a generous tasting platter and without false note (coral lentil hummus and curry, beet declined, roasted potimarron pesto, club salmon cucumber and coriander, cigar candied lamb and pulled pork mini burger, 18€). We leave the back yard to regret to rebalance in the crowd ... Fortunately, we now know a nice little haven of peace.
