Information

The dukes of Arenberg built the Arenberg castle in the 16th century. In the 19th century, as a result of countless renovations, the residential castle bore the characteristics of many different styles: Late Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Neo-Gothic. The University of Leuven acquired the compound in 1921, and today, it's home to the Faculty of Applied Sciences.
