Le Musée de Grenoble
Founded in 1798, the museum of Grenoble is today considered as one of the most prestigious museum of France. With more than 900 artworks, the museum owns ancien art collection as well as modern art ones.
The collections :
Ancien art : the museums offers artworks from the Egyptian Ancien time as well as Greek ones and Etruscan ones.
Modern Art : the museums has masterpieces of the 20th century with Matisse pieces or Picasso ones for examples.
Contemporary Art : the museum of Grenoble is one of the first contemporary art museum with worlwide pieces since the 1970s.
Graphic Art : the museum has more than 5000 old drawings.
Opening hours :
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday : from 10am to 6:30pm
Closed on Tuesdays.
