Algemene informatie

Tenbosch Park is the crazy brainchild of Jean-Louis Semet, a dendrologist at the end of the 19th century, and his chief gardener Hector Noyer, namely to create an arboretum of rare trees in Brussels. They gathered remarkable trees and bushes, at times unique in Brussels or Belgium, such as the Italian Plaqueminier which comes from Asia and is related to Ebony, whose edible fruits are called kakis, at the site of the orchards and vegetable plots of the old fortified farm of Tenbosch – a real private botanical garden which became a public park in 1981.
