This masterclass will take you on a "Tour de France" of wine, lasting 2 hours! A qualified sommelier will be waiting to welcome you and share their knowledge of the world of wine.
This masterclass is specially designed for wine lovers. If you want to improve your knowledge of wine, you're sure to love this informative and varied tasting session.
A qualified sommelier will be on hand to answer any questions you might have. You will taste 6 wines from various French regions, including one Champagne. Go on a journey of taste from the Champagne region to Bordeaux via Sancerre and the Rhone... Make yourself comfortable, and enjoy this trip around France, wine by wine!
The session will cover a range of topics, including: the secrets of Champagne making; wine-tasting techniques; specialized vocabulary; making sense of French wine labels (the concepts of terroir and appellation); the major French wine-growing regions (their grape varieties and the types of wine they produce); and where to track down the best French wines. Your host will also endeavour to answer all your questions on these subjects.
