Les berges de Seine
The history of Rueil-Malmaison would be incomplete without mentioning the banks of the Seine. Immortalized during the 19th century by impressionist painters such as Monet, Renoir, Turner, Corot, Sisley and Berthe Morisot, who painted many of their greatest canvases, the banks of the Seine have made this region one of the most important places of Impressionism.
Strolled since the 19th century by walkers curious to discover canoeing and dance halls, the banks of the Seine offer today on 3.5 hectares, from Nanterre to Bougival, a privileged path suitable to delight pedestrians and cyclists. The towpath is lined with weeping willows.
From the shore, you can see the superb Golf des Closeaux, a grassy area covering 9 hectares, and you can enjoy the scenery while greeting the barge captains and rowers.
